What to have for lunch?
The lovely people at Vegusto have been kind enough to send us some more of their products to sample and review - so I thought I'd make something for lunch with their marjoram veggie sausages and Veganaise (vegan mayo).
I had brought some homemade bread to work with me, so I decided to try an open sausage sandiwich, served with a spoon of the Veganaise.
The sausages had a really substantial wheaty texture and were moist and flavoursome. The Veganaise was really creamy, with a slight spiced kick.
If you are used to other vegan sausages, like Linda McCartney's for instance, these Vegusto sausages will make a nice change. With more ingredients to hand, I'd recommend serving them with some sliced tomatoes and crisp lettuce.
I can see them working really well in a Toad in the Hole for example, or keeping their shape well in a warming stew.
The sandwich was really nice, especially with nice soft and nutty bread.
